Please arrive a minimum of 30 min prior to your scheduled match time. The posted match time is the time for the match to begin, not the time to be going to the staging area. Pay attention to your match time as we will announce by the specific Match Schedule Block to the staging area. The 10-minute default rule will be in effect.
Due to limited spectator space, only 1 parent per player allowed to enter the venue along with the player. We are asking that you immediately leave the spectator area at the conclusion of your child’s match. Remember these rules are to allow the opportunity for as many parents/guardians to watch their child compete. Please be considerate.
Do not attempt to interact with your child in the field of play during or after their match. It only creates congestion and delays the start of the next match, ultimately the tournament.
If you are unable to play a match or give a Walkover, please inform the tournament director and referee.
Video cameras can only be set up in the designated area. Ask referee for placement of video camera if you are unsure
Appropriate Badminton Attire for Players - No warm-ups on players during play, leggings must be covered by skirt or shorts
Warm-up - There will be no practice court in field of play. The only hitting warm-up will be on court as directed by the umpire prior to match start
Before and During Match - Carry all equipment you need for the match; Referee is the only person who can pass things (water, racquets, etc.) to players once players on court
Participants are required to observe and follow all routing instructions within the competition venue.
Participants are not permitted to be closer than six feet to the Tournament Director’s work area.
No food is allowed inside the competition venue.
• Line judge (Singles – both players, Doubles – winning pair)
• A player’s match is not finished until player finishes line judge duty
• Player will stay on the same court for line judge duty
• Even if it is a player’s last match of the day, it is the player’s responsibility to stay and perform line judge duty
• Do not leave the court if player’s name is called to staging. If the match is not finished, let the umpire know and they will call for the referee. Stay on the court until a replacement line judge is found.
• No electronic device may be used while sitting in line judge chair * Applicable to player and parent/guardian line judge substitute
** Any adult (over 18 years old at any time during the tournament) that plans to substitute for line judging must register prior to the tournament start through the JotForm (https://form.jotform.com/211716316497055
• Coaching compliance - Doublecheck you are fully compliant. Any non-compliance with your membership renewal, safe sport expiration, and/or background check expiration will affect your ability to coach at the tournament.
• Credential must be VISIBLE to the technical officials and tournament staff members - Wear your badge at all times.
• Only coaches with approved credentials can sit in the coach chair
• (2) coaches per side is allowed on court
• Must remain seated in the designated chairs behind each court except for during intervals. Change ends with players before coaching.
• Can coach at all times except when the players are ready to play or when the rally has started.
• Dress appropriately (sports clothing, long trousers/skirt, shoes). Inappropriate clothing includes jeans, flip flops/sandals and beach/bermuda shorts. No hat.
• Must not disrupt play or cause distraction.

• Coaching without badge is allowed ONLY during the intervals. Players may go to the person(s) coaching without badge during intervals but cannot delay the match. If sideline coaching/signaling is noticed, give clear verbal warning. If situation persists, call for referee.
