Thank you for the wonderful 2024 with RisingStars

Around a year ago this time, both York and I felt there were so much to do for the badminton community, so we started the RisingStars Infinite, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Reflecting on 2024, we we’re thrilled by all we’ve accomplished together with your incredible support and participation:

• 13 Sparring Series hosted across 21 evenings

• 734 entries/players participated in RisingStars Sparring, totaling over 1000 matches!

We also supported and sponsored several key events:

• NorCal ORC - as Tournament Director, technical supports, and hosted Never-Give-Up mini-tournament

• Sponsored our players for 2024 Sonic Smash (earning many medals) and NCCAF Team Tournament (won the Grand Championship)

• Summer camp - at Hart Middle school to bring badminton to the community / beginners

• Initiated the recent Bring-JIT-to-NorCal efforts

Beyond the statistics and accomplishments, what stood out most was the laughter, camaraderie, and growth we witnessed throughout the year. Your positive feedback and encouragement have meant the world to us. None of this would have been possible without the invaluable contributions of our volunteers, parents, and players. A heartfelt thank you to all of you! 

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue our mission in 2025: 

(1) to provide more playing and sparring opportunities for not only top players, but players of all levels

(2) to support local badminton community in all activities that promotes the sports

(3) to advance tournament experiences by adopting new technologies and processes
