Event Medical Responder – USA Badminton
Dr. Pablo Borceguin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and sports medicine specialist with extensive experience supporting elite athletes at national and international competitions. He currently serves as a lead medical provider for USA Badminton, providing on-court emergency care and recovery management at major events including the USA Badminton Open National Championships, Junior National Championships, and Yonex U.S. Junior Selection Events.
Beyond badminton, Dr. Borceguin has served on medical teams for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawai‘i, and other endurance events across the country, where he coordinated acute response care for dehydration, heat-related illness, and musculoskeletal injuries under high-performance conditions. He has also worked with athletes at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Centers in Chula Vista and Colorado Springs, delivering advanced rehabilitation and performance programming for Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls in triathlon, track, and modern pentathlon.
A former NCAA collegiate runner, Ironman finisher, and Modern Pentathlon Top 5 national finisher, Dr. Borceguin brings a deep understanding of the physical and mental demands of elite sport. He integrates biomechanics, sports science, and real-world athletic experience to help athletes recover stronger and perform at their best.
